Coffee Barbeque Sauce

Coffee Frosting
1 pound powdered sugar, sifted 1/4 cup very strong, cold black coffee 1/4 cup butter, softened 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 teaspoons milkMix all ingredients on high speed until smooth and fluffy.
Coffee Spareribs
5-6 pounds spareribs, cut in serving pieces 1 cup strong coffee 1/2 cup molasses 1/4 cup prepared mustard 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce 1/2 cup cider vinegar few drops tabasco (to taste) garlic salt and pepper (to taste)Arrange spareribs one layer deep in large, shallow roasting pan. Combine remaining ingredients in medium saucepan. Heat and stir until well blended. Brush lavishly over ribs. Place in pre-heated 350 degree oven and bake, uncovered, approximately 2 1/2 hours, basting often with remaining sauce.
Coffee Burgers
1 pound very lean ground beef 1/4 cup crumbled bleu cheese 1/4 cup very strong, cold coffee 1 heaping tablespoon powdered chili mix 1 teaspoon dijon mustard 1/4 cup chopped green onions 1/4 cup diced red or green bell peppers 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauceMix all the ingredients together, form into patties, and grill to desired doneness. Top with guacamole and sprouts.
Coffee Bars (Denmark)
1 cube butter Pinch salt 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 1/2 cup flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon cloves 1/2 cup nuts 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup strong coffeeMix all together in large bowl and pour onto greased baking sheet. Bake in 375 degree oven for 15 minutes. ice with the following: 1 cup powdered sugar 1 TBSP. melted butter Hot coffee to taste Put icing on when hot. After about an hour, cut into bars. ENJOY!
Caramel Bars
24 caramels (about 8 oz.) 2 tablespoons prepared coffee 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled (1 stick) 1 cup chopped nuts 1/2 cup more prepared coffee 1 package (2 layer) spice mix 1/2 cup dark chocolate chipsPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 13" x 9" baking pan; set aside. In a medium saucepan, combine caramels and two tablespoons coffee. Place over low heat until caramels melt; set aside. In a large bowl, combine melted butter, 1/2 cup coffee, cake mix and walnuts. Blend thoroughly. Spread half of batter evenly in prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for ten minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over surface of hot cake. Drizzle caramel mixture over all. Top with remaining cake batter. Bake 20 minutes longer. When completely cooled, cut into about 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" bars. Makes 36 bars.
Oatmeal Bread
3/4 cup boiling water 1 cup hot coffee 1 cup rolled oats 1/3 cup shortening 1/2 cup light molasses 3 teaspoons salt 2 packages granular yeast 1/4 cup lukewarm water 2 eggs, unbeaten 5 1/2 cups unsifted wheat flourCombine boiling water, coffee, rolled oats, shortening, molasses and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast to lukewarm water; stir until thoroughly dissolved. Add to coffee mixture. Blend in eggs. Add flour gradually, mix until well blended and place in greased bowl. Cover and chill at least 2 hours or until needed. Shape chilled dough into 2 loaves, place in 2 9x4x3 inch loaf pans; cover. Let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk (about 2 hours). Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Enjoy!
Almond Cookies
CREAM: 1 cup soft butter 3/4 cup brown sugar ADD: 4 1/2 teaspoons instant espresso coffee 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon almond extract COMBINE AND ADD TO CREAM MIXTURE: 1 cup finely chopped almonds 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips ADD: 2 cups whole wheat pastry flourRoll into a log. Slice into 24 rounds. Flatten cookies before baking. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Enjoy!
Honey-Nut Muffins
1 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup honey 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 1/2 cup raisins 3/4 cup prepared hot coffee 2 tablespoon butter, room temp. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 2 cups bran 3/4 cup milkPreheat oven to 425 degrees. Use 12-muffin pan and spray with non-stick coating. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in large bowl. Stir in bran. In small saucepan, heat milk to just below boiling. Add hot coffee, margarine and honey. stir until butter melts. Pour over flour/bran mixture. Stir quickly to blend. Fold in walnuts and raIsins. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full. Bake in oven 25-30 minutes.
Coffee Chicken
3/4 cups black coffee 3 tablespoons soy sauce 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1/3 cup catsup 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 tablespoons olive oil 1 large chicken, cut into pieces Salt and pepper to tasteCombine all sauce ingredients in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Arrange chicken pieces in a shallow baking dish. Pour sauce over the chicken. Bake at 375 degrees for one hour, basting frequently.
Kona Coconut Muffins
1/2 soft margarine 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 1 3/4 cups flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 cup cool coffee 1/2 cup milk 2 teaspoon vanilla 1 1/2 cups chopped macadamia nuts 3/4 cup sweetened grated coconutPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 12 muffin tin. In a large bowl, cream margarine and sugars, then beat in the eggs, one at a time. In a small bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Combine the coffee, milk and vanilla in another small bowl. Alternately, blend the contents of the two small bowls into the large one. Finally, stir in the macadamia nuts and coconut. fill the muffin tins and bake until done, about 25-35 minutes. Serve warm with butter and COFFEE!
